As an esthetician, I face the same questions every day. Here are the most important answers – so you know what your skin truly needs.

❓ I can't tolerate retinol – what can I use instead?

This is one of the most common questions! Retinol is effective, but many skin types react with redness, flaking, or irritation. At Cristiana Matt Skin Logic, we rely on two plant-based alternatives:

  • Bakuchiol – from the babchi plant, provides similar anti-aging effects without irritation. Contained in Retinol Effect Renewal Oil.
  • Bidens Pilosa Extract – activates cell renewal like retinol, but gently. Contained in Retinol Effect Renewal Serum, the Renewal Cream, and the Renewal Eye Serum.

❓ How do I build a simple skincare routine?

A good routine only needs 3 steps:

  1. Cleanse – gently cleanse morning & evening (e.g., Nourishing Cleansing Milk or Purity Gel Cleanser)
  2. Treat – apply serum or cream depending on your skin concern
  3. Protect – always use sun protection in the morning (UV Shield Stick SPF 50)

Less is more! Too many products can overwhelm the skin.

❓ Which product is right for my skin?

That depends on your skin concern:

❓ Do I need to use different products in the morning and evening?

Not necessarily – but there are differences:

  • Morning: Lightweight care + essential sun protection (SPF 50)
  • Evening: Richer care, regenerating active ingredients like oils or night creams

Many of our products can be used morning & evening.

❓ Why is sun protection so important?

UV radiation is the main cause of premature skin aging, pigmentation spots, and skin damage. Even in winter and on cloudy days, UV protection is important. Our UV Shield Stick SPF 50 is lightweight, non-greasy, and ideal for daily use – even over makeup.

❓ Are the products vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes! All Cristiana Matt Skin Logic line products are vegan and not tested on animals. Many ingredients come from organic farming.

❓ Can I combine several active ingredients?

Yes, but with caution. Some combinations enhance each other, while others can irritate the skin. Our products are formulated to work well together. As a rule of thumb: not too many active ingredients at once – the skin needs time to adjust.
